Direct to Disc

The BD-X200 series record direct to disc. Each recorder manages, in real time and simultaneously, the otherwise three-step process of encoding, authoring and burning. Thus the BD-X200 is, for example, able to burn a fully authored 60 minutes of video in 60 minutes. The DVD disc then needs only to be finalised, ie writing of the Table of Contents (TOC) etc, which takes a maximum of 15 minutes.

New levels of quality and sophistication to DVD content

• Video content - JVC’s own hardware encoder produces extremely high quality recorded video, irrespective of whether coming from an analogue or digital source.
• Menu structure - Sophistication comes in JVC’s advanced form of menu structure, whilst retaining an ease and a simplicity to implement. Not only is it two-layer (Title layer and Chapter layer) with a wealth of choice for layouts, plus user-selection of thumbnail images to apply to Titles and Chapters, but also JVC provides its own Easymenu software wizard, with which to customise the menu screens in advance.
