Journalist Vaughan Smith from The Frontline Club recently filmed his report, Going to Afghanistan - which followed British troops in Afghanistan - using JVC’s handheld GY-HM100.
Capturing their everyday routines, Vaughan Smith - who specialises in the independent reporting of conflict – used the lightweight camcorder to capture high quality images in dangerous situations where other camcorders would have been too intrusive.
MacVideo, who are currently streaming Going to Afghanistan as their ‘Movie of the Week’, have also used the GY-HM100 camera to interview filmmaker, Vaughan Smith, which is now posted as their ‘Interview of the Week’ online.
