GY-HM700 awarded Professional Camcorder of the Year by Macworld
|London, 25 June 2010 – JVC Professional is pleased to announce that its GY-HM700 shoulder-mounted ProHD camcorder has picked up Professional
Camcorder of the Year at this year’s Macworld awards.
The lightweight, handheld GY-HM100 was also nominated alongside the GY-HM700 in the Professional Camcorder of the Year award category. The GY-HM700 tapeless camcorder held off competitors including Canon, Panasonic and Sony to earn the coveted award.
JVC’s GY-HM series are the world’s first professional camcorders that natively record Apple’s QuickTime™ (MOV) file format for Final Cut Pro™. This means that files can be read directly into Apple’s popular editing system, and for compatibility with other NLE systems, both camcorders support MP4 file format.
For over a decade the Macworld Awards have rewarded the most innovative and
successful products and companies in the Mac community for their achievements and contributions to the industry. The JVC GY-HM700 was hand-picked by the Macworld editorial team and its
readers.
