3G and dual link screens from JVC
|JVC has expanded its DT-V series of HD multi-format LCD monitors with three new models, the DT-V17G1, DT-V20L3G and DT-V24G1. The displays, which are ideal for critical OB and studio applications and widely used
throughout the post and broadcast industries, feature a superimposed waveform monitor, improved latency of less than one frame and are now 3G and dual-link equipped.
The DT-V17G1 is the best choice for a compact field or studio monitor in television studios, remote production vans, production and post facilities and other demanding professional applications.
It features a waveform monitor, which can be positioned in any of the four corners of the screen, with an ‘over’ level function offering clear indication of possible problem areas. In addition, there is greatly reduced delay between the input signal and the image display, and a wide colour gamut, ensuring faithful picture reproduction.
The monitors feature IPS (Inplane Panel Switching) panels, with a wide viewing angle of 178/178 and low chromatic variation, ensuring minimal colour change from different viewing positions. The DT-V24G1 monitor has a resolution of 1920x1200, the DT-V20L3G is 1680x1050, while the smaller DT-V17G1 screen has a resolution of 1366x768 and can also be powered via battery for use out in the field, enabling you to monitor in HD as you shoot.
A new high quality vector scope on the monitors allows simple checking of hue and saturation of digital video signals. These are displayed as a graphic with resolution of 254 x 254, and are compatible with video, component, SDI (SD and HD) and DVI (not PC) input signals. The vector has a choice of display positions and translucence.
Traditional front panel operation means anyone used to working with a CRT monitor will find the rotary controls on the DT-V series immediately familiar. These convenient controls let you quickly adjust picture and volume, as well as providing fast, direct access to a variety of functions.
