JVC GM-F series monitors deliver high quality imaging
Three new professional industrial displays for security and digital signage use
London, UK, 31 March 2009 –
JVC’s new GM-F series of professional industrial displays combines superior full-HD picture performance, stylish super-thin bezel design and high reliability.
Designed for 24/7 operation, they are ideal for security and digital signage applications where reliability, robustness and high image quality are essential. There are three sizes
available within the series – 42", 47" and 52" models – each offering a high brightness (700cd/m2) and a MTBF (mean time between failures) of over 50,000 hours. Typical
applications include security and control rooms; digital signage for shops, hotels, public areas and museums; schools and offices; and broadcast viewing and control.
The GM-F displays have full HD resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, with an ultra-thin front bezel for tiled mounting in configurations of up to 5x5 display units, while a range of I/O
make them compatible with virtually any security system. The displays also feature a PIR sensor, which can be used in security, digital signage or for power saving applications. When
the sensor detects a person, it can perform specific actions including changing volume level, back light, power on and input select. The sensor
can easily be configured with TV-TOOLS digital signage solution or used as an independent controller.
The new GM-F series’ reliability allows continuous (24/7) operations and the bezel design (15mm) gives a slim and stylish appearance from almost any angle and enables video wall applications. It is especially suitable for viewing security images in control rooms, where thousands of JVC monitors are already installed across Europe – appreciated for their affordability and longevity as well as their versatility.
The series has a built-in ‘motion sensor’ that can be set to the top or bottom of the LCD. This is a JVC innovation, designed specifically for digital signage and point-of-sale uses (should the security application allow it), that triggers re-programmed functions to display to viewers timely information such as promotional messages. It incorporates comprehensive system connectivity and networking, and ‘LAN Remote’ allows off-site control and monitoring via network PC. A range of inputs and outputs makes it compatible with virtually any security system. There are multiple mounting points for flexible installation and it is compatible with the VESA wall mount.
John Kelly, UK Sales Manager, said the new GM series was another step forward for JVC’s monitor range: "JVC monitors are known throughout the industry for their quality, reliability
and durability. We hope visitors to IFSEC, where the new monitors will be shown for the first time to the European security community, will be blown away by the displays’
outstanding quality and clarity of images."
