Central Bank of Lebanon installs over 350 JVC cameras

Automation & Controls SARL, based in Lebanon, are one of the largest fire protection, building management and security systems providers in the Middle East. They recently installed over 350 JVC cameras in the Central Bank of Lebanon as part of a major security upgrade. Fady Zughaib, Director at Automation & Controls SARL, reveals why the largest bank in the city chose JVC’s cameras and equipment.D

“The Central Bank of Lebanon is one of our major clients in security. When we first entered the bid to upgrade the banks surveillance system, we were trying to give them the best quality. This is why we directly went to JVC, as the overall performance of the cameras is really high.

“The bank wanted to protect mainly their vault areas, cashiers, lobbies and entrances and JVC’s cameras served this purpose perfectly. We recommended the TK-920BE, and TK-C215V4E cameras, along with some wall mounts and lenses,” Fady continues. “The bank’s staff was especially impressed with the image quality and features of the cameras, which has allowed them to really ramp up their security measures.”

JVC’s TK-C920BE is a sophisticated colour surveillance camera which incorporates advanced features for enhanced identification capabilities even at night in low light conditions. The camera comes with 550 TVL, Day/Night functionality and a Super LoLux™ sensitivity of 0.35lx F1.2 in colour mode and 0.25lx F1.2 in B&W mode.

The TK-C215V12E and TK-C215V4E are high performance dome cameras that feature 540 TVL, Easy Plug and Play setup, and Day/Night functionality. The TK-C215V12E comes with a 12x Variable Focal Lens and the TK-C215V4E with a 4x Variable Focal Lens.

“The cameras are connected to 8-port decoders, they are sitting on a network where a main server is processing all the data,” Fady explains. “Two defined users are accessing the live and recording images through workstations. We are recording at 4CIF, 25fps and live viewing at 2CIF, 8fps. The cameras were easy to integrate with the banks surveillance system and are running very smoothly. I am pleased to say that JVC’s products have delivered fantastic results and we will continue to recommend them to our clients.”
